ClubHotel Riu Gran Canaria: Unlimited Value at a Fixed Price for the Whole Family
The ClubHotel Riu Gran Canaria has undergone a thorough face-lift and was re-opened at the end of July 2013. The owners invested 25 million euros on the facilities. If the hotel was good before, now it is great. New services have been added and guests are happy to see how it looks. We consider that this family hotel is great value for the money, because it is a four star all-inclusive resort located right by the beach, in the Meloneras area, and has a full range of activities, great food, and entertainment. The new image of the hotel includes an awesome infinity pool (which looks like it is connected to the sea) , and modern bars. Even the hotel logo has been changed to the more modern version.
If you want to relax, you can use the huge jacuzzi!
For the kids, there are brand new area to play in, called "RiuLand" with a swimming pool that has slides and other games. Inside the pool there is a spaceship and a dragon. Every day, there are different activities for the kids, depending on the age group.

In the RiuArt workshop, guests of all ages can show their creativity. Open 6 days a week.The 639 rooms have all been renovated, with light colors.Each room has a 40" flat screen TV with satellite channels, an electronic safe, hair dryer, telephone, air conditioning that works, a small fridge, and completely renovated bathrooms.
Regarding the restaurants, the main buffet diner (known as "Las Dunas") has been renovated, and three new ones have been added:
- an Asian one called "Kaori"
- a local Canarian one called "El Patio"
- a grilled-food called "Atlantico" on the pool
There are a couple of new bars worth mentioning. The open air main bar has got a modern design and reminds us of the Ibiza chill-out bars. Next to this bar is the After Hours bar, which is open from midnight until eight in the morning.
